Parental Mediation Model was initially formed to regulate children’s attitudes regarding the media usage by strategies including active mediation, rule-making or restrictions, and co-viewing. Application of Parental Mediation Model was initiated with television usage, continued with video games and turned out to be more challenging by the emergence of new media which is more focused on the Internet.
