Single crystals of Zinc chloride doped L-Phenylalanine Perchlorate were synthesized and grown by slow evaporation method at room temperature. Single crystal XRD data reveal that the crystal belongs to triclinic system. The doping of zinc chloride into the L-Phenylalanine Perchlorate was confirmed using EDAX spectral study. The presences of functional groups were identified using FTIR study. The optical characterization has been done by UV –Vis - NIR spectral studies. Dielectric constant and dielectric loss measurements were carried out at different temperatures and frequencies to analyse the dielectric behaviour of the grown material required for induced polarization.
